While in fact this is all me, I can see both sides of the Gun argument and I will explain why I am in fact on the side of Gun Rights over Gun Control, as well as a few other things that well kinda popped in -.- sorry...
So here it is, a day in the mind of John
1. Person one -Person two
A gun, by itself, sitting on a table, no one touches it as two people walk in
1. Can it do anything? -No, because it is an inanimate object
1. Can it kill someone? -No, not without someone to pull the trigger
1. Is it dangerous? -Yes, but so is a hairdrier, a toaster, elevators, cars, airplanes, WATER, and just about anything else in this world can be/is dangerous
1. Don't point that at me. -First off, it's on the table just sitting there it is not like it'll go off on it's own
1. You mean it can't shoot itself? -No, like I said it needs someone to pull the trigger
1. But guns are evil! -How can an object, used to free the people of the United States, to save Europe from Germany during 2 world wars, and used to protect millions of families across the globe be evil?
1. Because they kill! -No they don't the person behind the trigger does
1. I was told that guns need to be banned. -And why should we?
1. Because that is what (any person in authority you wish to put here) would want. -Now why should I listen to them? I have a right to own a gun, and to teach others about gun safety
1. Gun safety? There is no such thing, only when all guns are gone will we be safe. -And who told you that?
1. The government did. -Did you know the Second Amendment was made to protect the people from a tyrannical government
1. No it wasn't it was created so people could go hunting and/or target shooting. -Wrong, at the time hunting was a necessity and musket-balls were too precious to be wasted on target practice. Even the writing of the Second Amendment says NOTHING about hunting or target shooting
1. Then what is the Second Amendment for then? -"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed" A State may have it's own Militia, free from obligation to the Federal Government, and the people of the United States may own firearms for self protection, for any legal practice, and for the safe keeping of said weapon for if and when it is needed when a state's Militia is called up
1. But no state needs a militia now. -Really? With how things have been going in DC I think every state is going to want a Militia soon
1. But what if a state decides to secede. -Different Subject
1. Oh sorry, OK what if the Federal Government decides to remove the second amendment. -Simple, civil war, and hopefully a short one, as the military is not bound to serve the idiots who sign THAT into passing,, no they are bound to serve the Constitution of the US of A and to defend the US from ALL threats FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC
1. See I got you off the topic of the gun! -Did you? Or did you help me prove my point? Guns are not the evil object the media makes them out to be, and no amount of gun laws can stop a criminal from obtaining and using an illegal firearm. Now I am not saying we need to give every civilian a gun. No some won't know what to do with it, others will attempt to go on a shooting spree. What needs to happen is actual Gun Safety classes country wide. Hopefully that can help weed out ignorance amongst the people.
1. So all people who don't want a gun in their house are ignorant? -No, but it would be better if they at least knew what exactly they were afraid of, and it isn't the gun, not by itself anyway
1. Then what are they afraid of? -Death
1. AH! But you said a gun can not kill! -Not by itself, no. But if I was to pick this gun up, aim it at you and pull the trigger I could very well kill you
1. Y-you wouldn't! -You're right I wouldn't, because I know the weight of one life, I know how precious it can be, but heaven help the soul that tries to take the life of myself or someone I love
1. What do you mean? -My life, and that of the people I love is far more important to me then that of a stranger
1. YOU SEE! THAT is why guns need to be banned! -No it isn't *sigh* OK how about this, lets say a random guy is running at you with a knife-
1. What color is he? -Why?
1. Cause if he's black I can't do anything without being called a racist pig. - *sigh* Again different subject, and a moot point, white, black, pink, purple, what-the-fuck-ever color you want! The fact is a guy is running at you to try to stab you
1. Does it have to be a guy? -... OK FINE! A RANDOM PERSON IS RUNNING AT YOU TRYING TO STAB YOU WITH A KNIFE! AND YOU SO HAPPEN TO HAVE ONE IN YOUR HAND TOO! SO WHAT DO YOU DO!
1. Um... Drop the knife and run? -Ok if it is just you and you are sure you can out run him, good answer but what if you were on a date and this happened
1. You mean the girl I was on a date with tries to kill me? -No a random person is running up to try to kill either you or your date
1. Well then I guess I would try to stop him(him used as a unisex word in this context). -And if you kill him because he wouldn't back down? would that be wrong?
1. I... -Well?
1. I guess not, but I wouldn't be happy about it. -No one said any sane person is when they take a life, but is you taking his life with a knife any different then me taking someone's life with a gun to protect myself or someone I love?
1. Have you? -Have I what?
1. Taken a life? -No, nor do I want to, I want all this killing to stop
1. Then why not get rid of all guns? -That won't work
1. Why not? -Guns aren't they only way to kill someone as I had illustrated to you
1. Then we ban anything that can be used as a weapon! -Then we might as well just kill ourselves now cause that is anything and everything
1. WHAT! @.@ -Exactly. We can only play with the hand God deals us
1. You can't say God. -First Amendment
1. Oh right... But still I don't understand if God exists why is he letting this world get to bad? -Because he loves us
1. He has a funny way of showing it. -HAHAHA He gave us freewill, though I will admit not his best decision. but anyway, he gave us free will, and he has given us the choice of whether or not we wish to follow in his foot steps or not
1. But shouldn't he, you know, try to make people believe in him? -Why should he? He is perfection-
1. But what abo-... -Now no need to go there, anyway, he is perfection, so why would he need to show us himself, what have WE done to deserve it?

And this is just some of what goes on in my head, maybe I should make a blog for stuff like this, but then who would read it XD well like it, or don't like it I don't care, I am still sharing this with everyone
